What the registrar controls
The registrar is where the domain is purchased and where nameservers are usually changed. Axalot can validate the domain state, but the registrar remains the source of truth for ownership, renewal, and nameserver assignment.
Registrar checklist

Setup workflow
Confirm the domain is in the expected registrar account.
Add the domain to Axalot with a clean lowercase hostname.
Copy expected nameservers from the domain record when available.
Update nameservers at the registrar.
Wait for propagation and check Axalot status.
RDAP can help
When RDAP data is available, it can show registrar and expiration details. Treat it as operational context, not as a replacement for registrar account access.
